The Holy Spirit is described like a river. When you think about a river you imagine a continuous flow of water. That means that the Holy Spirit is not stagnant but always flowing in your everyday life. "If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me (who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me) as the Scriptures has said, From his innermost being shall flow (continuously) springs and rivers of living water." John 7:37b - 38(AMP).

His flow is not based on what you can see, feel, sense or perceive.

When I was young I lived in Pueblo, Colorado on the North side of the city. There was an under ground river deep underneath our house. I could not see, hear, taste or experience it but it did not mean it was not there. The same is true concerning the Holy Spirit; the river is there and He is flowing right now in your circumstances as you trust in Him.

The way you get connected to God's fresh, life-giving flow is by faith. Your connection to Him causes life to flow out of your innermost being (your spirit). Holy Spirit indwells your spirit and your spirit is the part of you that receives from God.

See yourself immersed in God! Delight and nourish yourself in the things of God and you will receive the benefits from the springs and river that is always flowing.
