Your Future is Ahead.

The only time you should look back is to see how far you have come!

Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.(Isaiah 43:18-19)

That means that ahead of you is; a job, or a better job, a financial breakthrough, a healing, a new friend, new opportunities, a mission experience, or _________ (you fill in the blank)! Make your faith declarations that your best days are ahead! Sometimes we look at our age or our means and think that we may be winding down in life and becoming less effective. Abraham could have felt this way at seventy-five years old but he did not because he had revelation of a promise. He knew blessings were ahead of him.

God’s promises to you that have not been fulfilled are not expired, they are just ahead. Use your faith and keep expecting. Expect the unexpected daily. Job 5:9 MSG, “After all, God is famous for great and unexpected acts; there's no end to his surprises!” God wants you to look ahead to your promised land. You were never meant to stay in the wilderness. Ahead is an oasis of His love, destiny and provision waiting for you to experience. If it wasn’t too late for Joshua and Caleb who had aged in the wilderness and experienced many setbacks, it’s not too late for you! Joshua and Caleb grew young in spirit by becoming hopeful and courageous as they embraced God’s future for them and so will you.

The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18). Make it your prayer that this one thing you do; forgetting the things that are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).

What ‘new thing’ is the Lord wanting to do in your life?
